Fund the work
Support may come from individuals, businesses, sponsors or government. We will set out a clear scope, budget and responsibilities with research and school partners.
School research programme
We are seeking founding partners and funding for the next stage of our school research programme. Its purpose is to bring the right people together, challenge the working framework, test it in practice and turn what is learned into training that schools can use.
How the project will work
Support may come from individuals, businesses, sponsors or government. We will set out a clear scope, budget and responsibilities with research and school partners.
Bring teachers, school leaders, families, people with lived experience, researchers and policy makers to a roundtable. Check what is missing and what could disprove our assumptions.
Agree practical school examples and a fair pilot. Measure children’s reasoning, skills, effort and independence, alongside teacher workload and family experience.
Produce clear documents and training videos from the work. Materials created for this funded project will be free for everyone to access here, including schools and families.
Once the scope and funding are confirmed, we will publish the planned stages and expected timescales, then share progress and findings, including what did not work.
We intend to keep future training and documentation freely accessible where the work to produce them is funded. Funding supports development; it does not put the resulting material behind a paywall.
Free resources
The first videos and guides will be developed after the roundtable and project work, then published on this site. We will make the distinction between research evidence, lived observation and ideas still being tested clear in every resource.
There are no videos to download yet. The working paper is the starting point for challenge, not a finished training programme.
Be part of it
Share the project. Offer school or research expertise. Help us test the practical examples. Contribute lived experience of cognitive overload, whether in education or work. Individuals and organisations may also be able to support the funded work financially once the project scope and terms are agreed.
If you would like to work with us, we would welcome a conversation about where your experience fits. The roundtable is our first point of collaboration.
